Mission Point Christian Academy is not only serious about equipping each child with academic excellence but is passionate about teaching God’s word and growing them in His love.  There is excitement in our hallways as we build today’s children to become tomorrow’s leaders.

The mission at MPCA is simple, to minister to the whole student and their families through Christian Education.  It is our goal to equip each child with the foundation needed to be a success in Elementary school and beyond.  Our foundation was built of strong Christian values and we desire to instill these Christian values in our student’s hearts and minds.

Our weekday preschool is a half day program that is offered to children between the ages of 8 weeks and 4 years.  We operate from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. , Monday thru Thursday and follow the Cherokee County School system calendar.  (To access the exact days offered for each age group please click on the 2009-2010 Fee schedule)

Each day the children are greeted by friendly faces as their excited feet scurry to class.  The teachers use the Abeka curriculum as well as creative art to help make the education experience a success.  Every week the kids enjoy music time where they prepare for several performances throughout the year.  Chapel services are held every Thursday; the kids learn about God’s word through praise music and a puppet ministry.  Chapel is also the time that monthly service projects are chosen, an effort to teach the students about giving back to God and the community.

According to the Bible, parents are responsible for the training of their children (Deuteronomy 6:1-7; Proverbs 22:6; Ephesians 6:1-4).  Mission Point Christian Academy Weekday Preschool serves as partners in providing a Christ-Centered, excellent preschool education consistent with biblical truth.  Harmony between home and school provides the best environment for godly education and training to take place.  We seek to establish a covenant with each parent in the nurturing development of the following essential character traits of your student (s);  Integrity; Respect; Thankfulness; Service; and Eternal Values. 

During class each day the children are engaged with a bible lesson as well as prayer time.  They also learn to stand and say the Pledge to the American Flag, the Christian Flag, and the Bible. Recess time is provided each day as well as a snack for three years and younger.  The Pre-K children bring there lunch each day and enjoy learning what it will be like to eat with friends at “big school” next year.  This is just one of the many important steps that prepare them for the coming school year.

Public registration for the 2010-2011 school year begins on Monday, February 22 at 9:00 am.  Applications are accepted on a first come first serve basis and spaces may be limited due to our small class size.  Tours of the preschool are given every Tuesday between the hours of 9:30-11:30.  We encourage every family to come check out what exciting things God is doing at Mission Point Christian Academy.  Your child will thank you for it!
